OCR: (?) Your MagicFile settings Here you can setup your own preferences for the filebase. There are some things that people prefer and other people dislike, so each user can have their own settings! (1) Auto re-join the section you left last time you used the filebase This will remeber the section you were using when you exit the filebase, when you use the filebase again it will go back to that section straight away. (2) Marked files list is permenant (recoverable if you log-off) If you have marked files and you log-off or lose carrier by mistake, your marked files will be preserved and they will be re-marked when you go back into the filebase automaticly. (3) Expert menu mode (displayed quicker, no option explanation) This will truncate the main menu into a few lines, it will only display the keys you can press and not what each key does. This is for expert users. (4) Display failed or aborted files upon start-up If you lost carrier or aborted an upload, it will be saved to disk and kept so that you may continue it at a later date, with this option enabled it will display any failed uploads, and you have the option if you want to keep them. (5) "Sure you want to upload to this section?" prompt This will ask you if you are sure you want to upload, this is so that MagicFile will verify that you wish to upload to this section, and not that you made a mistake. (6) Display new wanted & requested files upon start-up In the Wanted & Requested files section, if a user adds a request since the last time you used the filebase this will tell MagicFile to look for you and tell you if a new file has been requested. (7) Your file transfer protocol This allows you to set which file transfer protocol you wish to use. (8) The name used when uploading files If you wish to use an alias often for uploading files, this is where you can chose what name to use. Your sysop can disable this feature and its also possible that some file sections may allow a further alias from this one. Please make use of these preferences! They are here for your use! 7.2
